Wheelchair users have access to specially designated spots in row V in the lower bowl, accessible via foyer elevator. When booking tickets please note that Doors 13-18 are closest to the elevators and Doors 1-3 are on the ground floor. Companion seating is available, and must be reserved at time of booking.
Mobility or wheelchair seats are able to be booked online for most events. If you have any further requirements or have any enquiries, you will need to contact Ticketmaster on their direct mobility line to purchase mobility seating.
Tickets for accessible seating can be purchased via:
Ticketmaster Website, OR;
Contact Centre: (09) 970 9711, OR;
Email: customer.service@ticketmaster.co.nz
Please note, for each ticket for a wheelchair space purchased by a disabled individual or another person at his or her request, one additional ticket in the same row and contiguous with the wheelchair space shall be made available for purchase (provided they are available at time of purchase). We will provide solid seat as the companion seat in wheelchair accessible reserved seating areas.
We offer three comfort/Bariatric rated seats, designed with a load capacity of 250kgs. These seats feature a reinforced frame for enhanced support. If you need one of these seats, kindly inform us prior to your event via info@sparkarena.co.nz, and we'll ensure your request is accommodated.
There is often high demand for mobility parking for events at Spark Arena, so it's best to check your parking options early, and allow yourself plenty of time to get to the show on the day.
We have a limited number of nearby carparks designated specifically for mobility pass holder parking. These spaces are free but must be pre-booked, and they fill up quickly. Spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis and can be reserved once you have your event ticket.
Once you have purchased your tickets, the easiest way to request to book a mobility parking spot is emailing us your mobility parking request at info@sparkarena.co.nz with the below details:
- First Name
- Surname
- Phone Number
- Car Registration Number
- Mobility Card Pass Number
- Event
- Time Slot & Date
- Any extra information
We will email you as soon as we have confirmed your mobility parking spot reservation.
For any enquiries, please contact us directly on (09) 358 1250 during office hours Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm, or via email, well before the event (parks often fill up months in advance so get in quick to avoid missing out). Make sure you have the registration number of the vehicle you will be bringing handy, as well as a contact phone number and email address.
If all of our mobility parks are fully allocated, the closest paid mobility parking is at the privately owned Arena Carpark on Tapora Street (see a map here).
The main entrance to Spark Arena is located between Beach Road and Quay Street on Mahuhu Crescent. The multiple entry points at the front of the arena are fully accessible and there is lift access from the ground floor to the second level of the arena via elevators nearby to the box office. When booking tickets please note that Doors 13-18 are closest to the elevators and Doors 1-3 are on the ground floor.
Additionally, Entry B permits preferential access for wheelchair users and patrons with special assistance requirements; this entrance is located alongside the box office and is nearest to the lifts. Fully accessible toilets are clearly signposted and located throughout the arena on both floors.
If you need to drop passengers close to the arena, the designated area is on Quay Street by our pedestrian bridge/ramp, which leads directly up to the front plaza at Spark Arena. This drop-off point is approximately 500 metres up Quay St from the Quay St/Tamaki Drive intersection.
On some occasions, it may be possible for those displaying a valid mobility permit to use a drop-off and collection only zone at the front of the Arena on Mahuhu Cres. However, please contact us to confirm prior to your event, as this is subject to road closures on the day of show, depending on the size of crowd we are expecting.
